Actually, I found this on the WPC site. It must have been changed from what I had. I have sent a memo to Amy to verify.
January 24, 2008
Innovative New WPO Structure
The WPO will be structurally merged into the WPC. The WPO-sanction will be used for meets that offer cash prize awards. The WPO rules of engagement /competition will now be directed by the WPC rule structure. As example, 24 hour weight-ins, WPC safety-support gear, etc.
The difference is the following new WPO weight class structure (each class has a title-belt and a cash prize) · LWT-0 to 165.50 pounds · MWT-165.51 to 220.50 pounds · HWT-220.51 to over This is the same three weight classes for the Bench-Press-only class. No formula will be used for either the three lift class or bench-press-only divisions.

Any future World Records will be broken in the standard traditional WPC classes and past WPO records will be preserved as historical. No added bonus money
will be paid for world records.
