Mike,
I just wanted to publicly acknowledge you for accomodating my special needs.
Not only getting two mats, but four mats to try to get me up to the monolift. Guess it's a good thing that Chuckie Dunbar doesn't lift anymore. lol. But it's little things like that, that a lifter will use to determine whether or not he wants to go back to that venue.
And also, let's not forget the saves that the spotters made on my squats and benches. Great job there.
Overall, it was a great meet and I had a good time. I only wish I could have gotten some of those burgers.

Mike and the entire Michigan Crew,
I just had to put this in writing. Thanks for Road Kill's hand offs and your other man who handed off to me. Forgive me I didn't get the very nice man's name or shall I say I had a senior moment and forgot his name. I really appreciated their helping and caring hands. You truely have a great bunch of guys that ran a fast smooth meet. Your spotters saved many lives including mine.
Tell all your Mr. Referees Bravo for a job well done! You really serve Michigan proud! I really want to come back to Michigan to compete again. Thanks for all of the food and beverages provided. Even we little people had enough to eat after all the big guys had all of their food and beverages to eat.
It was nice talking to you and looking forward for furthr conversation. I hope you get your gigantic numbers back again too.
Once Again Thanks for a memorible day!
Respectfully Yours,
Sidney Thoms

HEY MIKE<
The last time I saw two 1000lbs squaters, back to back was around the 2002,2004 State Championships where Hinze and Harbourne were running the meets.
It was Ruggerio, Gallo, and Skiver hitting 1000lbs. Quite the scene for a new powerlifiter back then.. Your meet was equally impressive.
Then we have a 900lbs bench off. I have never seen a 900lbs bench, but that day I saw two of them. Plus I saw Jamie Snell hit 700 back in 2002/3, and he did it again with about 727.
My performance was average, but the competition was amazing. Many people deadlifted over 600lbs. JJ hit 826 SQ at 198 for the first time. Good work.
FAVORITE LIFTS:
Of coarse I like the champion middleweight from the Lansing area, and the 220 RF from DDB. But Jose was dam impressive, especially how he put 1000lbs on his back, without a large waistline. He could deadlift too. Attempted over 800lbs.
Captain, I believe from DDB, improved his deadlift with a 600lbs pull quite easily. Well deserving of the best lifter award.
I can't remember a full meet in Michigan (been competing 6 years) where money was given out??? YES, the Bench for Cash by Meet Director Jim H. always has money, but it is not a full meet.
Thanks MIKE WHITE
See everybody at the State Championships in March 2008.
